The DC-7 was Douglas’ last major piston
engine-powered transport aircraft. Built 1953 – 1958, it entered the
American Airlines flagship service on its New York-Los Angeles route,
becoming the first airliner to offer nonstop transcontinental service in
both directions, flying westbound against the prevailing winds.

PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion
of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create
two identical PlaneTags.
